The Moscow Rachmaninov Trio

The Rachmaninov Trio – Victor Yampolsky (piano), Mikhail Tsinman (violin),  Natalia Savinova (cello) –  is a musical ensemble widely known by musical adepts all over the world. Over 18 years of their joint creative work, the musicians won affection of the public, respect of their colleagues and critical acclaim, both in this country and abroad.

Concerts and recordings of the Rachmaninov Trio received brilliant reviews of such prestigious publications as BBC Music Magazine, Gramophone, The Strad, Fanfare, Diapason, The Independent, The Observer, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, Sud Duetche Zeitung, Der Bund, Russkaya Ideya (Russian Idea) and many others.

Official State Projects
The Rachmaninov Trio represented the Russian performing art in the program of the Year of Russian Culture in Germany, China, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Italy,  Netherlands.
The musicians played concerts during a great number of major international forums such as UNESCO, the United Nations, the World Economic Forum in Davos. In 2005, the Rachmaninov Trio was invited to a gala concert held in the Indonesia’s Presidential Palace in Bogor where they performed Beethoven’s Triple Concerto together with the Indonesian Symphony Orchestra.

Master Classes
The Trio musicians are regular participants at the most important international master classes such as: Villa Musica in Germany, Gustav Mahler International Academy in Italy, in Shanghai and Beijing Conservatories.
In 2006-2007, the Rachmaninov Trio organized and conducted master classes and concerts with the support of Gazprom at the top four conservatories of China: in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Hong Kong.
Concert geography of the Rachmaninov Trio performances is very wide – from Japan to Latin America, from the Russian Far North to Singapore and Indonesia.
Own projects in Moscow
1. The Rachmaninov Trio organizes the annual international festival of piano trios called The Rachmaninov Trio and Friends inviting the best ensembles from other countries to Moscow. Over the last four years, musicians from Austria, Italy, Germany, France and Brazil gave performances at the festival.
2. The Rachmaninov Trio organizes annual cycles of chamber music concerts in the Halls of the Moscow Conservatory and the International House of Music, in the Tretyakov Gallery, where the world stage stars from other countries participate along with Russian musicians.
